Master Your Marketing Campaign With Branded Golf Products

With the US Masters coming up this year, EverythingBranded takes a closer look at our own golf products, which can be branded to your marketing needs.

O'Rourke This years 83rd US Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia will begin on April 11 and ends on April 14. The top 50 players in the Official World Golf ranking are invited.

History

The first US Masters was held on March 22, 1934 and is one of four major golf tournaments to be held at the same course every year. One of the first tournaments to host a 72-hole competition over four days and first to use an on-course scoreboard. All the holes are named after a plant or shrub, no.1 is named Tea Olive.

The greatest golf player of all time, Jack Nicklaus won a record  of six Masters and was the oldest winner at 46. Tiger Woods was the youngest winner of the tournament in 1997 at only 21 years old.

He also holds the lowest winning score with 270, 18 below par! Augusta National Golf Club opened in January 1933, founded by golfer Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts.

Designed by architect Alister MacKenzie, who unfortunately died the year of the first Masters. A par at Augusta National is 72 and the course is 7,435 yards. Patrick Reed, 2018 winner won a whopping $1,980,000! A green jacked is awarded to the champion, but they have to return it after one year. At the Augusta Club there are three dedicated bridges:

  • Sarazen Bridge at hole No. 15- in honor of Gene Sararzen's double eagle during the 1935 Masters
  • Hogan Bridge at No. 12- to honoring Ben Hogan's record score of 274 in 1953
  • Nelson Bridge at No.13- to honor Bryon Nelson's performance
